SAM TECH RECOGNIZED AS ACCSC NATIONAL SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE FOR A THIRD TIME

The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) announced the list of schools recognized as 2023 Schools of Excellence. The School of Excellence Award recognizes ACCSC-accredited institution for their commitment to the expectations and rigors of ACCSC accreditation, as well as the efforts made by the institution in maintaining high-levels of achievement among their students.

We are pleased to announce that the School of Automotive Machinists & Technology has received this distinguished award.

In 2008, ACCSC introduced the School of Excellence Award which recognizes schools for their commitment to the expectations and rigors of ACCSC accreditation, as well as efforts in maintaining high levels of achievement among their students. In order to be eligible for the award, a school must meet all of the criteria established by the Commission for its School of Distinction Award. Also, a school’s graduation and employment rates from all programs offered must meet or exceed the average rates of graduation and employment among all ACCSC accredited institutions. In 2011, SAM Tech was one of only thirteen schools in the country to receive this prestigious award for the 2011-2012 school year. SAM Tech was proud to receive the award a second time in 2015-2016. For the 2022-2023 accreditation year, the School of Automotive Machinists & Technology was awarded School of Excellence for the third consecutive time.

ACCSC-accredited schools receiving this designation must meet the conditions of renewing accreditation without any finding of non-compliance, satisfy all requirements necessary to be in good standing with the Commission, and demonstrate that the majority of the schools’ student graduation and graduate employment rates for all programs offered meet or exceed the average rates of graduation and employment among all ACCSC-accredited institutions. This year fourteen schools received the honor of being named as a School of Excellence. This is less than one percent of the independent post-secondary educational institutions in the United States.

School of Automotive Machinists & Technology
Today we were visited by students from Vidor High School. The students and instructor took a tour to learn more about machining careers after graduation. They spent a lot of time learning about CNC machining. Of course no visit to SAM Tech would be complete without a visit to the race shop and dyno room.
